Little Women-Eye Is Girl Power

Little Women-Eye Is For Girls from Age 11-16

Imagine the possibilities if every year thousands of middle school and high school girls learn how to tackle community problems! Picture the huge number of powerful women leaders driving local communities and the world toward success and well-being.

"Little Women-Eye Girls Speaks Out is fun, and life-changing!"

Little Women-Eye focuses on life planning for girls, teaching, leadership, problem solving, self-esteem building, financial education, how to handle losses, as well as copping with change.

Little Women-Eye

Little Women-Eye is a national organization that empowers girls to create social change. We invite young women to design, lead, fund and implement social change projects that tackle issues girls face in their own neighborhoods.

Little Women-Eye provides the tools, resources, partnerships and support girls need to gain the voice, ability, and problem-solving capacity to realize their full potential.

We welcome and serve all girls and focus our efforts on girls who live in low income communities.  Designed to create opportunities for youth and adults to deepen their creative involvement through the arts, cultivate their entrepreneurial skills and use the arts as a means for economic empowerment and community transformation

The Main Goal and Objectives

To empower girls to make healthy and informed choices as unique young women.

So they can draw upon the knowledge of Women-Eye Community and professional artists to build the girls' awareness of health and other community resources.

So they can build artistic and expressive skills.

So they can foster responsibility and connection to family and community.

So they can affirm girls' identities and strengthen their sense of self.

To encourage a critical and multicultural approach to life and learning.

To provide them with a safe, comfortable space where they can get honest answers about what to expect from their emerging physical and personal development as well as how to cope with social and emotional issues.

The art of growing up is a rite of passage program for adolescent girls (ages 11-16) using a range of art forms as tools for self-exploration and expression. Through art projects inspired by coming of age traditions from around the world, the program encourages girls to connect with each other and their communities

The tour will include teaching more than 2,500 girls about social change and giving them the tools to create change through our Little Women-Eye change your world sisterhood.   In cities across the country, Little Women-Eye action teams of approximately 10 girls and two women volunteers called Little Women-Eye coaches meet during the school year to identify an issue they want to change and then design and implement a social change and world peace project.
